Save the Sand Alliance

The Save the Sand Alliance (SSA) is a collaborative initiative uniting organizations working to revitalize the Sabie and Sand River Catchments in South Africa's Bushbuckridge region.

  • Plant and maintain 3.5 million indigenous trees across the project area

  • Sequester 6,200,000 tons of CO2 through agroforestry initiatives by 2056

  • Increase average farmer income by 200% within five years of engagement
